CHILD SAFETY

All children have the right to feel safe and protected from all forms of abuse and neglect. The care, safety, wellbeing and dignity of children and young people are integral parts of the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.

Central to the mission of St Martin of Tours parish is an unequivocal commitment to fostering the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of children and young people and providing them with a safe, supportive and enriching environment to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.

For this reason we have developed policies and associated documents which aim to keep children safe from harm, including all forms of abuse in our parish environment, on site, online and in other locations used by the parish.
