Welcome To St Martin of Tours Macleod and Rosanna Parish

The St. Martin of Tours Catholic Parish acknowledge the Wurundjeri people, the Traditional Owners who have walked upon and cared for this land for thousands of years. We acknowledge the continued deep spiritual attachment and relationship of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to this country and commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of Reconciliation.

LENTEN TAIZE PRAYER- Sunday 7th April-2019 from 7pm - 8pm

How is it possible to reach inner silence? Sometimes we are apparently silent, and yet we have great discussions within, struggling with imaginary partners or with ourselves. Calming our souls requires a kind of simplicity: "I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me." Silence means recognizing that my worries can not do much. Silence means leaving to God what is beyond my reach and capacity. A moment of silence, even very short, is like a holy stop, a sabbatical rest, a truce of worries.

Child Safety Training Session

To safeguard children and to ensure that the abuses of the past do not recur, the Parish Child Safety Team is conducting information and training sessions for Parish Volunteers. A Parish Volunteer is anyone who is a member of a Parish group. These sessions run for about 1 hour.

ALL PARISH VOLUNTEERS are required by the Archdiocese to participate in one of these sessions. We thank the nearly 100 volunteers who completed a session last year; there are about 200 volunteers yet to do so.

The training sessions will be held on Tuesday March 26 at 10.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. in the Community Centre. It is important that as many as possible attend. Please see the newsletter for more information.
